On this very lovely day, Long ago, Two beautiful things were born. In a place far away, The bud, A flowering rose of love began. A century plus one is how much now to pay, The credit, This beautiful state began as a desert. The fiery pit of Arizonan love will last on forever, For on this day long ago, Love was born; For on this day long ago, Arizona became a state. In Arizona a desert flower is what truly symbolizes Valentine's Day. Even in its dryspells the flower still lives. It lives through the hardest of times and still blooms.
